Reason for Score: APCS works hand-in-hand with our constituent churches, as well as other area churches, to provide student-led worship services. Our students provide the entire program for these services. Student testimonies are the highlight. APCS is also the home of the Asheville Area Adventure Club, and all students in grades K-4 are invited to participate in this club. Students in grades 5-8 are invited to attend the MPA Pathfinder Club. These clubs are supported and promoted by APCS teachers and staff. APCS has also led our community in the Kids in Discipleship ministry. Through our encouragement three area churches have been trained in K.I.D. and are equipped for this ongoing ministry. Most of our APCS students are also active participants in Sabbath school programs in area churches.

Reason for Score: The EDGE logo has been incorporated into our school website and is displayed by each classroom and by the main office. We are currently in the progress of purchasing a new school sign and redesigning our school letterhead to include the EDGE logo. It will also be added to new copies of our handbook, application forms, and promotional materials.

Reason for Score: APCS publishes the Golden Triangle, our weekly newsletter, every Thursday. A copy of the newsletter is made available on our school website. Student acadmic progress is available to parents online though the Hunter System. Two parent/teacher conference days are scheduled each year, and parents are always welcome to meet with teachers on an as needed basis to discuss their child's progress.

Reason for Score: APCS is subsidized by three churches: MPA SDA, Foster SDA, and Bethel SDA. These churches have heavily invested financially and emotionally in Adventist education. In addition to the church subsidies, APCS has established the Educational Assistance Fund to help students who cannot afford the full tuition and the Annual Fund to support projects that fall outside of the operational budget. APCS has many faithful supporters who make Adventist education a reality for the children of our area.
